Mercedes Vito Camper Van Vlog France Part 1 | The Carpenter's Daughter

I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to upload last week. Sadly I was sick the night I got back from France and couldn’t edit it.

Anyway, we went to France for two weeks in our DIY Mercedes Vito camper van via ferry and it was so cool! It’s the first time we’ve taken a van abroad and the first time taking Hans too 🙂

We spent the first week working our way from Calais to the west side to the Vendée and found a really cool campsite in some dunes and generally visited many places en route recommended by my in laws who used to live in Geneslay, Normandy.

Also, it’s worth noting that after doing a lot of shopping around for the cheapest travel, we found Camping & Caravanning Club to be the cheapest as we were members: They arranged it with P&O ferries, saving us an extra 10%

And this is the last week to VOTE for me to win a DIY blogging award (*ends 15th), so if you haven’t done already, it would be MUCH appreciated:

  3. Great vlog Vikkie. Don't take many videos personally, but would like to start doing so. What sort of editing programme do you use as its very effective and love the music segments. Do you use windows or IOS? many thanks & look forward to part 2.

  4. Do you think you would benefit from an oven in your van with you being very foody? We are currently doing our own self build and i really want to put in a small gas oven but not to sure…
