Aron Nimzowitsch, (born November 7, 1886, Riga, Latvia, Russian Empire—died March 16, 1935, Denmark), Latvian-born chess master and theoretician who was renowned for his book My System (1925) but failed to win a world championship, despite many attempts.

Nimzowitsch learned to play chess from his father, a wholesale merchant, when he was eight years old, but only after he entered the University of Berlin in 1904 did he concentrate on the game. My System, which advocates what came to be called the Hypermodern school of chess, remains a classic.

Nimzowitsch is best remembered for having created a new vocabulary for chess that made the strategy of the masters more intelligible. He also developed several theories of play, including the Nimzowitsch-Indian defense.

  2. that intro 😂😂 I'm Fucking DEAD then he celebrates Tal's birthday?? If I could meet one person it would be mator

  3. Agadmator's new look: A completely grown moustache

Congratulations, Agad, your style with the full moustache is excellent

  4. – " Coucou ! M. Black King, i love you !… " (White Queen climbing the black fortress wall)

    – " Leave me alone, i'm married… " (Black King, trying to hide under the bed !)

Bjørn (Björn, Bjorn) Nielsen (4 October 1907 – 21 May 1949) was a Danish chess master.
He was Danish Champion in 1941, 1942, 1944, and 1946.

  6. Agadmator you are not looking smart in that mustache change it neither a request nor an order just a suggestion from one of your subscribers choice is yours

7.,_%D0%91%D1%8C%D1%91%D1%80%D0%BD this is wiki page of bjorn nielsen ( only the russian page has a photo of him )

  8. By playing Bxf3 and then cxd4 , he probably thought that d5 as a knight outpost would be decent compensation !

  9. If only Nielsen filed a patent on nbd7 in the Caro-Kann , he’d have his own variation instead of Karpov XD

  10. woaw you have a lot of upgrades, firstly, nice mustasch style, and you said that being out of the way instead of that being said :))

  11. Bxg7 is pretty solid too seems. I only mention it because over the board with clock ticking, I’d be a helluva lot more likely to find it than Qf6!

  12. at 6:55 I was thinking about playing Qg3. Threatning checkmate and also attacking the rook twice. I think this would win a piece but Nimzo found a more brilliant move.

  13. Good game but i have two suggestions 1 is that if black plays f6 why rook capture on e6 and another is that at 5.43 rook to g4 would have created a nice windmill to watch

  14. You are definitely the best chess lecturer on YouTube. Your passion for the game really comes through.
