The Game Farm (1930)



Filmed at Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.

A game farm. L/S of man throwing seed down for the birds. Small wooden huts house the birds. They walk around in the grass outside the huts. Slightly older pheasants are shown. They strut around a pen. C/U of some of the birds. Various types of pheasants are bred there – from “Silver” to “Himalayan”. Various shots of the birds wandering around their pens. Lt. Col. Lewis is the breeder of these birds. He also breeds wild ducks.

L/S of a large number of ducks waddling around and swimming in a pond. Three keepers stand in the background. C/U of a group of the ducks. They “take to swimming like – ducks to the water.” One of the keeper shoos all the ducks into the pond. L/S of large number of ducks swimming on the pond.
